Safe robot motion: Safety functions for Epson Robots
Epson’s safety functions allow the machine to keep running while operators perform their tasks. Operators can work in synchronisation with the machine by reducing risks through safe speed and position monitoring.
*The comparison between the robots is measured on the movement of the ISO Cube, as per ISO 9283. This measures the energy usage for one cycle of the test movement in the ISO Cube, and compares the cobot against ABB’s IRB 1200-5/0.9 industrial robot, using the same speed and payload for both. The energy usage for one cycle of the ISO Cube Motion of the cobot was at least 40% lower for the complete cycle.
